Sunny Thursday

My current favorite song!  Such a perfect company for a Sunny Thursday like today!  I can't help but smile while listening to this song and feel so blessed!  "Give me, give me, what I want...I want sunshine!"  I hope you enjoy the song as much as I do!   Snapshots from my garden this morning...

Water globes!  The perfect company for water plants!

Quiapo water plants...prettifies the garden!

What makes you smile today??  It's almost weekend...and it's long weekend!  Woohooo!!!

Oregano, Basil and Tarragon

A bit of cuttings from the herb garden,  oregano, tarragon and basil (plus some leaves for the powder room).  I did a little gardening this morning.  That's how I started my weekend.  Of course, that was after a light breakfast and newspaper reading with hubby.  How about you?  How's your Saturday?

I would love to hear your thoughts!

The Weekend That Was

Hello dear readers!  How was your weekend?  Mine was all about family.  Last Saturday, I made a gourmet sandwich for my hungry boys, grilled cheesy sausage with pesto dressing.  I think they liked it, because it was a goner in no time!

Yesterday was holiday here because of the local elections.  So we invited grandparents and cousins from both side of the family.  It was a simple merienda of dimsum, noodles and sweet treats (different flavors of hopia).    Food is even more appetizing with the use of my Burmese lacquer lunch box for the siomai and the mini-Chinese lunch box for the hopia!

And this morning was all about my herbs...Harvested some tarragon, Thai basil and oregano.  So everyone has to drink tarragon tea today, and maybe we'll have pasta for dinner!

Have a good week ahead!

I would love to hear your thoughts!

Monday Craving

I always have a hard time starting a blog on Mondays, and today is no exception.  I thought of my "Notes to Self" and realized I have one that thing that has not been ticked for the longest time.  Here's what I'm craving for...

More PLANTS in the house.  Right now, I only have a few indoor plants, which are actually gifts.  The truth is our garden is still much work in progress, so is the indoor landscape.  Here is a couple of plants that I have...
This sturdy looking plant is from my loving mother-in-law.  She gave me two pots of this plant, and so far it has produced two babies already which we have put in a separate pot.

This plant I believe is a good luck plant from Ferdie's colleague at work.  Every so often, it bears berry-like red flowers...really lovely!

This is the plant that I want!  I did a little research and found out it's called Ficus Lyrata or Fiddle Leaf Fig.  Nice, isn't it?  This calls for a trip to Manila Seedling!!!  Here I come!

How about you, what are you craving for this Monday?

Spying the Garden

' Thought of checking out the garden this morning, after the strong rains last night.
Look what I found...

My oregano is still thriving, in spite of frequent cuttings!

My favorite plant in the garden!
This bird's nest fern seems to grow by the inch every minute!

A basket full of pillows, waiting to be put back on the chairs.

Yay!  my Singapore jasmine is abloom again!

Water-filled candle holder.

Japanese bell, a gift from our cousin, Ate Tonette.

Falllen flowers from the strong winds last night.

A centipede...
And another one...

And a curled-up one!

Lastly, I spy a girl, enjoying a book in the cool Tuesday breeze!

How about you?  How's your Tuesday?
