Craving: Chocolates

I was having a quiet afternoon, all by myself in the study when craving for chocolate suddenly kicked it.  What to do?  It's a standing rule in our house not to keep chocolates in the pantry.  But I was determined to satisfy my craving so I went down and rummaged the pantry for whatever food morsel I can find to substitute for chocolates.  And look what I found!  A pack of chips ahoy!  It's not close to a chunk of dark chocolate that I'm dreaming of, but it will do.  Yay!  And it was really meant for me...there was only one cookie left!  I thought that was the best Chips ahoy cookie ever!  Cravings...check!!  :-)

Craving: Chandeliers

Today, while looking at my photo files, I came across a folder of these beautiful chandeliers.  I am always enchanted with the charm it brings.  And each piece illuminates a room with very unique personality.  It could be

But you see, as much as I love these kind of lighting fixtures, I don't own one in my personal room.  So for the meantime, I will just have to be content sharing the one and only piece we have at home...in my daughter's (Bianca) bedroom.  
PLAIN and SIMPLE...

There is a plethora of lighting fixture out there.  Whatever personality or style you have, you would surely find one.  But why is it that sometimes, you can't seem to find the perfect one?   My hubby and I experienced this when we were finishing the house.  We've scoured the whole of Manila to find that piece, and it was not easy, I tell you.  (It was actually my hubby who is the more patient one when it comes to light fixture shopping!) We managed to finish the house, but you know what...there's still one fixture lacking...the one for the main door.  We are still on the look out for that perfect piece.  Such a shame, I cannot put a chandelier there! :-(

Monday Craving

I always have a hard time starting a blog on Mondays, and today is no exception.  I thought of my "Notes to Self" and realized I have one that thing that has not been ticked for the longest time.  Here's what I'm craving for...

More PLANTS in the house.  Right now, I only have a few indoor plants, which are actually gifts.  The truth is our garden is still much work in progress, so is the indoor landscape.  Here is a couple of plants that I have...

This sturdy looking plant is from my loving mother-in-law.  She gave me two pots of this plant, and so far it has produced two babies already which we have put in a separate pot.

This plant I believe is a good luck plant from Ferdie's colleague at work.  Every so often, it bears berry-like red flowers...really lovely!

This is the plant that I want!  I did a little research and found out it's called Ficus Lyrata or Fiddle Leaf Fig.  Nice, isn't it?  This calls for a trip to Manila Seedling!!!  Here I come!
